FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Online animal radio show sharing the true meaning of Christmas with a huge line up of guests
RIO RANCHO, NM December 15, 2008 – Sleigh bells are ringing as children are anticipating the most
exciting holiday of the year for them: Christmas.
While we all know that this marks the date that most Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus, many forget
that His birth was in a dark, dank stable surrounded by barn animals that He entered the world. And so, it is
fitting that an online radio show, Animal Talk Naturally, will celebrate this 2000 year old event by
supporting two nonprofit animal charities and an upcoming documentary film on the eternal lives of
animals on their second annual Christmas show with twelve of their former and repeat guests!
On December 17, 2008 beginning at 2:30 PM Eastern, Animal Talk Naturally will host a two-hour Season
of Giving show through their regular platform on BlogTalk Radio at
http://www.blogtalkradio.com/animaltalknaturally to raise funds for Crystal Peaks Youth Ranch
( http://www.crystalpeaksyouthranch.org ) - helping rescue horses and kids,
Paws and Think ( http://www.pawsandthink.org ) – putting together at-risk shelter dogs with at-risk youth,
and Animals in Paradise ( http://www.animalsinparadise.com ) an upcoming documentary film about the
eternal lives of animals.
Each of the twelve special guests - who are each giving of their time and talent - will share their own
unique message during the show, along with Christmas music provided by Jean Wenzel and Mary
Buddemeyer-Porter.
“We’ve had a lot of support from businesses stepping up to provide giveaways to anyone in our listening
audience who donates $50 or more to at least one of the charities or the documentary film during the live
two-hour show.” comments Dr. Jeannie Thomason. “Each business that is participating will not only have
their name and website mentioned on the show but, they are also receiving an entire year of advertising on
our Season of Giving page on Animal Talk Naturally’s Website, ( http://www.animaltalknaturally.com/aseason-of-giving/ ) which will remain on the site until next year’s show!”
“We have also received tremendous support from two other radio shows - EFA Artists for Animals www.blogtalkradio.com/blockheadrod
(http://www.blogtalkradio.com/EFA ) and also Something About Women
(http://www.mykkim.com/default.asp?pid=13256 -a local NM radio show ).” states Dr. Kim Bloomer. “We
are hoping that businesses will also donate directly to the charities or the documentary along with the live
listening audience during the show. The more the better! The good news is that both charities are 501c3
non-profits so your donations are tax deductible. The documentary film is not a non-profit but whoever
donates to Animals In Paradise will have their name listed in the credits and possibly your own piece of
video with your pet will be included in the film.
Jesus was born into the world to give His life for us. The least we can do is give of our resources to help
those less fortunate during this special time and season of giving”

Animal Talk Naturaly Christmas Show
The Holiday Season: A Time for Giving
Online animal radio show hosts a bevy of guests to support two animal charities and
an upcoming documentary on animals
RIO RANCHO, NM November 14, 2008 – The holidays are upon us with
excitement in the air as people bustle about looking for the perfect gifts for their
loved ones. One radio show though is hoping that people will choose to give to help
animals and children who aren’t as fortunate.
The online radio show, Animal Talk Naturally, has pulled together a team of twelve
guests for their annual Christmas show to raise funds for two special charities that
help both animals and children and one upcoming documentary film on animals.
On December 17, 2008 beginning at 2:30 PM Eastern, Animal Talk Naturally will host
a two-hour Season of Giving show through their regular platform on BlogTalk Radio
at http://www.blogtalkradio.com/animaltalknaturally to raise funds for Crystal Peaks Youth

at-risk youth, and Animals in Paradise ( http://www.animalsinparadise.com ) an upcoming
documentary film about the eternal lives of animals.
Each of the twelve special guests - who are each giving of their time and talent - will
share a unique message during the show, and there will also be Christmas music
provided by Jean Wenzel and Mary Buddemeyer-Porter.
The hosts of the show, Dr. Kim Bloomer & Dr. Jeannie Thomason, are asking
businesses to get involved and support these very special charities that rely solely on
donations to do the work they do.
“We’re hoping that businesses will step up and provide giveaways to anyone in our
listening audience who donates $50 or more to at least one of the charities or the
documentary film during the live two-hour show.” comments Dr. Jeannie Thomason.
“Each business who participates will have their name and website mentioned on the

Bloomer. “The documentary film is not a non-profit but whoever donates will have
their name listed in the credits and possibly your own piece of video with your pet
will be included in the film. It’s a win-win-win situation for everyone involved so
please give generously, it’s far better than receiving anyway! And enjoy the show!”

Wrap them in Love blankets
How to Make a Cage Comforter
Size of Finished Comforter:
14x20" or 12x18" (sizes don't have to be exact)
Materials
Fabric for Outside of the Comforter:
• Cotton, fleece, and poly blends work well for outside
• Fabric needs to be washable in hot/warm water (for washing at shelter)
• Ideally with no color fade at warm to hot temperatures in the machine
Padding for Inside the Comforter
• A little poly fill or other padding for padding inside
• Innards from old comforters/pillows/mattress pads work well; padding doesn't need to be thick — just enough for the pet to have a little cushion)
Tip: Good inexpensive sources of materials include thrift store comforters, crib bumpers (great source for cheap poly fill), flannel sheets, quilts, baby/receiving blankets, old pajama bottoms, table cloths, or bathrobes. Please wash materials before sewing.
Construction
Construction: Feel free to try your own method, but "pillowcase-style" often works best:
1) Cut two pieces of material to use as top and bottom of the outside of the comforter
2) Place the two pieces of fabric one on top of the other
3) Make sure the "wrong" side of both pieces of fabric are facing out
4) Sew 3 sides together
5) Turn inside out so that the "right" side of fabric is facing out
6) Insert a bit of cotton batting or fluffy material
7) Fold over and sew the fourth seam
8) Secure the poly fill by sewing an inner seam (like quilting) around all 4 sides and/or sewing a middle seam with the machine (this is so that the filling doesn't bunch up when washed).

EFA Quilt Project continues
Round Robin for EFA TEAM!!!
This quilt will be very special, because everyone will have had a hand in it.
Each member who chooses to get involved will have 4 weeks to complete one 12” + 2”border quilt block.
This quilt’s them is “EFA” so each Block will be fashioned that way…the letters E F A doesn’t matter how you do it,
be as creative as you would like on your 12” block but please keep the borders clear for adjoining to the next block.
This quilt’s color scheme is “Bold” so please think “Bold” when choosing fabrics from your stash to use.
I’ll say it again, it’s your block, get as creative as you would like as long as the Letters “EFA” appear within your 12”
On the bottom of your side of your block, in the border area, only the top inch portion, please include your name, and
your Etsy Shop address. Again, get creative, you can use iron-on lettering, beads, embroidery, appliqué,
fabric paint, whatever you choose to use please make sure it will hold up with the many years of love this quilt will
bring to the person who purchases it. On the back side of the block please include the charity you choose to support
through your shop and your Etsy store address . Please be sure to stay off the border section on the back side.
When your block is mailed it must be completed, it must be quilted and squared and ready to be assembled into the quilt.
(P.S. if you don’t know how or don’t like to quilt you may be able to network a friend within the group to help you, teach you, or maybe complete that portion for you)
All blocks will be mailed back to Dogonwear>>>AKA Gena, then it will be assembled into the final quilt
and be posted in the blog for all of us to see. Also it is up to each individual to take photos of their block for the blog…
A special page will be erected (as soon as I fined help with it…LOL)for the quilt blocks to be shown as they are completed.
It should be lots of fun to see them show up on line and then see your block combined into the quilt.
The Quilt will be sold to generate $ for promotional items for the EFA team. Of course with a hefty price due to all of our
famous signatures as prized #1, fabulously creative world-renound Artist.
Please represent your talents, draw, and paint, sew, express yourself but please make sure it is permanent.
Depending on the amount of Blocks we receive will determine the final size of the quilt or # of quilts!
12” Block means it should be 12” in length and width, making a perfect square. Then add a 2” border all the way around
Add batting and a backing… please leave enough batting to run to the edges on all sides border ( so cut the batting at 14”)
Do not quilt the Border! Just add your name and shop addy in the bottom top inch portion (this means you have a 12”x1”
Space to use. Be sure to leave the bottom inch loose for adjoining to the next block.
These Blocks are special – you may want to get a tracking number
I will send each of you a convo in Etsy to let you know it has been received
Please send your questions to Dogonwear through Etsy.
Convo me when ready to mail for the address
